Workshop Description: Revive old pants and shirts, or add patches to your favorite jacket! Printmaker Benjamin Sorrell will be teaching the designing, carving and printing of relief materials onto fabric, using printmaking as a method of minimizing textile waste and promoting reuse and repair with the cloth around us. Using fabric for relief printmaking opens up a straightforward art practice into a diversity of materials, colors and textures.

Benjamin will be bringing a variety of materials to carve, ink and print with for this workshop, but it is recommended to bring a garment you would want to embellish with your work!

Supplies needed: Bring material to print on- fabrics and clothing mainly. Printmaking materials like inks, print surfaces and carving tools will be provided- This class is free to the public!
